Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness is an ancient yoga stream from Northern India. Once for the privileged few, it was shared with the West in the late 1960’s, to support everyone in these times of multiple change & uncertainty.
The flow of the class is determined by the Kriya, an action or sequence of actions. Pranayam (breath control exercises), meditation and deep, healing relaxation are all part of the class.
The meditations assist mental focus, overall quieting the mind waves whilst developing clarity to help us make better decisions.
As a teacher, I am committed to a daily practice of Kundalini Yoga which gives me a connectedness, both physical and mental strength and a unique balance of the mind, body and spirit.
Overall, I feel happier, healthier & mentally stronger and hence I love to share this yoga stream with others, so that they can too be rewarded by the many benefits.
