YOGA for children
We value, we respect, we are one
I consider it a gift to be able to share yoga with children. Why, because in my experience, I know they get so much from it & I do too, from them. The practice of yoga brings happiness, the freedom to express themselves & increases physical and mental focus.
I believe the support a yoga practice can offer makes a huge difference to one’s inner peace & wellbeing. I feel this is needed right now for our children, whom’s world can be very overwhelming & confusing.
Yoga offers a ‘rope’ to hold onto and in my experience, a young child can find a sense of peace and calm in a short yoga & meditation practice.
A regular yoga practice will assist children with:
Physical strength, flexibility, confidence & coordination.
Mental awareness & emotional wellbeing. Helping children to learn how to accept and love themselves, to value others & the world around them.
Yoga helps to build their focus & increase concentration. Regular practice teaches children to be present, aware and therefore mindful of their actions & how they can affect others.
The classes are fun-based, with yoga postures, games & stories, mantra & meditation.
I teach at two local primary schools in Haslemere, Surrey.
Private, or small group child yoga classes can be arranged. Yoga Birthday Parties can be arranged too.
